Burn Ban Lifted

The County wide Burn Ban has been lifted.  Anyone wishing to burn should use good practices. Check wind and weather conditions before burning, have a water source close by, not near a structure or wood fencing, burn small piles and burn only approved material such as leaves, limbs, brush, and approved wood. You cannot burn household garbage, old tires, roofing, plastics, treated wood or any type of hydrocarbons. Those type items can constitute an EPA violation, which may result in quite an expensive fine. If anyone has any question or observes any illegal burning contact the AtokA  F. D. immediately or call 911.
