Safe Night Out

Date: Friday, October 28th
Time: 6:00pm-8:00pm
Location: Nancy Lane Park

Sponsorship Opportunities

The longest-running annual event in Atoka, Safe Night Out offers a safe, family-friendly Halloween event for the community.  First held in 1997, the event continues to evolve and grow as new and exciting offerings are added every year. Safe Night Out is held at Nancy Lane Park every Halloween beginning at 6:00 pm.  The event is free of charge; however, the donation of a canned or non-perishable food item is requested for each guest. Those donations are provided to a local charity - raising hundreds of donated items over the years - for distribution during the holiday season.

The event will again be a drive-through trail. The trail has been such a huge hit we have decided to continue with the idea. We will add to the trail each year. Cars will drive through Nancy Lane Park and see lots of Halloween Decor. At the end of the trail every child will receive a goodie bag filled with candy, prizes, etc.

The event provides a great way for our littlest Atokans to collect great candy and have fun in a safe environment.  There's no better way to enjoy a crisp October evening than at Nancy Lane Park for Safe Night Out.

Live Santa Tracking: This feature is brought to you by Tipton County GIS. In order to watch Santa move around Town and for you to be ready for his appearance when he makes his way passed your house, PLEASE MAKE SURE TO REFRESH YOUR BROWSER FREQUENTLY ON YOUR COMPUTER. If you are tracking him on your phone, please zoom in and out on the map to refresh his location.

Born as an idea submitted to the Town through Facebook, the Town of Atoka hosted our first Santa's Ride in December of 2012.  The event features the Jolly Elf riding atop an Atoka fire truck, bringing extra Christmas cheer to every street and neighborhood visited.  Before the ride Saturday, Santa will host a Meet and Greet back at the fire station -complete with candy canes, cookies, and hot cocoa and a chance to get those last-minute gift requests directly to the Big Guy.

In 2013, in response to the overwhelming feedback received from our first year, a second night was added and Santa's route was dramatically expanded - visiting new subdivisions and offering an enhanced photo session with Santa back at the Walker Parkway fire station on Friday night.

This year, Santa's Ride will again cover two nights - visiting more subdivisions and delivering more Christmas cheer than ever before.  We have added more areas and streets so please check the maps.
