Utility/Recycling Billing

Working to offer additional payment options for our customers, the Atoka Public Works Department is now accepting credit card payments for water, sewer and residential trash services.  For Poplar Grove customers billed by the Town for recycling services only, payments are accepted by clicking the button below.  

VISA, MasterCard and Discover payments are accepted in person or by telephone at the Atoka Water office. 

Online credit card payment services are also available by clicking the button located below. Online payments may be made up until 11:59 pm on the 19th day of each month.  After 11:59 pm on the 19th, payments may be made in person or by telephone only.  Please allow adequate time for payment processing, in order to avoid late fees and/or interruption of services each month.

Customers can also utilize online bill payment services, if available, through their banking institution.  Please allow adequate time for payment processing to avoid late fees and/or interruption in services.

Billing/Reading Information: 

Meter readings occur each month with bills being mailed to customers prior to the first of the month.
 
Bills are due on the first of the month and are considered late after the tenth.  A late fee of 10% is applied after the tenth of the month.  When the tenth falls on a holiday or a weekend, late fees are applied for any payment not received by 8 a.m. on the next business day.  When an account becomes past due, automated calls are sent to the phone number listed on the account advising the customer of the past account status.  Please advise the Town of any changes to your phone number by calling 901-837-5300, as phone calls are the only method of notification of past-due account status.  Late notices and red door tags are no longer provided as reminders for late payments.

A service fee and service disconnection are applied for all accounts not paid in full after the twentieth of the month.  When the twentieth falls on a holiday or a weekend, fees and disconnections are applied for any payment not received by 9 a.m. on the next business day.  When service is disconnected, Town staff leaves a yellow door tag with instructions on how to restore service.
